We want Glasgow Furs to be a welcoming, relaxed, and safe space for everyone who joins us, whether that’s at meets, in chats, or at our larger events. This page brings together the guidelines we use to help keep things running smoothly and fairly for all attendees.
Our policies cover how we manage behaviour, handle issues, and support the community across all of our spaces. They’re here to set clear expectations, not to catch people out. Most of it is common sense, but having everything written down helps make sure we’re consistent and transparent in how we run things.
You’ll also see some of our internal policies included here. We’ve chosen to share these so you can better understand how decisions are made behind the scenes, how our team approaches moderation, and what processes we follow when handling situations. We believe being open about this helps build trust and gives everyone a clearer picture of how the community is run.
If something does go wrong, our moderation team will always aim to handle it calmly and respectfully. We take concerns seriously, and we’ll do our best to resolve things in a way that’s fair to everyone involved.
We ask that all attendees take a few minutes to read through the relevant sections before joining events or community spaces. If anything isn’t clear, you’re always welcome to ask.
At the end of the day, this is a community space. Being respectful, looking out for each other, and helping create a positive atmosphere goes a long way.
